About the book

These short stories are rooted in real-life events and experiences of an octogenarian author residing in the United Kingdom. The women around her navigate countless challenges throughout their lives, and the author's observations from working with women across multiple countries have inspired most of these narratives. The raw honesty and sharp realism in these stories may prove unsettling for some readers. Yet her writings serve as testimonies to history—a history in which she herself is both witness and participant.
