About the book

"This is a time when joint families are breaking up into separate families and they are also breaking up and standing as spare people. This change is inevitable. In the older generations, the parents would not separate but they would fight and quarrel beyond measure. You can't see a perpetual celebratory mother or father or a happy family. Fortunately, this poison of family feuds is now thankfully not spread to the next generation as unwilling, unhappy parents separate.

However, the problems and stress of a single parent are overwhelming without any guidance to deal with them. Men often do not take responsibility for child rearing at home. In single parenting, if the father gets custody of the child, it is his mother or sisters who raise the child. But this is not the case for women. I see everything (marriage problems and failures) as accidents. What kind of justification is it that we are the ones who get hurt, we are held responsible for these accidents and we are the ones who are also punished for the same?

I see this book as a guide to single parenting." - Brindha Sethu
